Power pumping...

aku tgh buat power pumping (PP) skrg....disebabkan arini cuti Maulidur Rasul, so weekend jd 3 ari la kan...aku mmg plan nak buat PP weekend ni...sbb minggu ni pumping session aku celaru skit...sbb kena pi dgr ceramah la, talk laa, so pagi punya session tu terpaksa skip...risau tauu...

jadi, td bangun sama waktu mcm nak pi opis (5.30am) n buat PP...akan buat lagi PP utk sabtu n ahad...cukup la 3 ari...

apa itu Power Pumping atau Hyperstimulation?

Power pumping is a technique that can be helpful in building a milk supply. Here is a brief explanation of power pumping.

Power pumping involves using regular pumping techniques and setup, but in a unique way. The idea is to mimic a baby who is nursing frequently to increase a mother’s supply, as is common in the nursing relationship during a growth spurt. To power pump, hook-up as you would for a normal pumping session, pump for 10-20 minutes, rest 10 minutes, then pump another 10 minutes, then rest for 10 minutes, then pump again for 10 minutes. The mother does this for about an hour, once per day, to increase supply. At other pumping times during the day, routine pumping is used. It can take about a week to see an increase, so don’t get discouraged.

Some mothers prefer to concentrate their efforts and have a power pumping weekend, called “Power Pumping Boot Camp” by some lactation consultants. They power pump at each pumping for a couple of days before returning to routine pumping.

cara aku buat...15 mins pump, 15 mins break, 15 mins pump, 15 mins break...cukup la sejam...sebelum start aku minum air segelas, in between break minum jgk segelas, dah abih pun minum lg segelas...

aku ni kalo agak2 minggu tu pumping session celaru (walaupun tak mengganggu output EBM), tp aku cuak la hehe....so weekend akan buat PP (aku tak penah lg buat PP waktu hari bekerja, mcm kelam kabut lak hehehe)...result nya, Alhamdulillah minggu seterusnya lepas buat PP tu ada la increase skit....tujuan aku buat PP bkn la sebenaqnya nak increase output EBM tu, tp lebih kepada nak maintain, ye la dah pumping session asek skip ja, takut laa supply drop pulak kan..so baik amik langkah berjaga2 dulu...

tak susah pun buat PP ni, bangun pagi awal skit, sbb aku suka buat PP waktu pagi2 sebelum Subuh...pastu sambil buat PP aku surfing supaya tak bosan @ ngantuk sgt...since aku pakai fs, breastshield tu aku tak tanggalkan pun...handsfree pun tak bukak...kalo botol penuh, baru tukar botol, kalo tak pakai ja botol tu sampai abih...
